This full day session is an ideal opportunity for those interested in how to create vibrant and colourful portraits using ultraviolet light. Participants will be introduced to the most important technical aspects of UV photography through practical demonstrations and will also have the opportunity to shoot with Ashleigh Rae who is our model for the day.

The session will cover:

• What is UV light and how it differs from visible Light
• Different types of UV lighting both flash and continuous - Advantages and disadvantages• Setting up a portrait using a single UV Flash light
• Combining Flash and continuous UV lighting
• Understanding UV reactive and Neon materials and Makeup

We will be joined by talented model Ashleigh Rae who will be assisting in the creation of images produced throughout the day.

Please note all pictures taken during this session are for personal usage and artist reference only. If you wish to use them for publicity or promotional purposes you will have an opportunity at the end of the session to speak which Ashleigh to discuss this and to obtain a model release (A fee for this will be payable directly to Ashleigh) 

Participants will also have access to specialist UV Lighting equipment including the Broncolor UV attachment.

Tea, coffee, soft drinks and biscuits will be available throughout the day and a light lunch and refreshments will be provided.

Please advise us if you have any food allergies or intolerances and/or any specific dietary requirements.

What to bring:

• A Digital camera that can be controlled manually and has a Hot Shoe with the ability to mount a Pocket Wizard trigger.
• A suitable portrait lens 85-135mm or an equivalent
• A note book & Pen if you wish to make notes throughout
